Plea to be Reconciled to God

Steve Harding from Hambleton Evangelical Church, Thirsk  spoke on Paul's letter to the Colossians chapter 1 v 19 to 23
For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell, and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross.
And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciled  in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight— if indeed you continue in the faith, grounded and steadfast, and are not moved away from the hope of the gospel which you heard, which was preached to every creature under heaven, of which I, Paul, became a minister.

He spoke on a "personal plea to be reconciled to God"
The church at Colosse had false teachers  who said there were extra things you need if you want to become a good christian for example circumcision and that Christ alone was not enough.  He reminded us that we have to be aware of such people and that in these verses Paul gives us clarity how we are to withstand these people.
God has reconciled us to himself through the death of his son.
Friendship has been restored v21.  That you were enemies and have been restored.  God  has made peace by Christ shedding his blood on the cross.
He urged us to get right with God.  It is Christ who has died for the ungodly.
His work on the cross at Calvary is complete.
We are to share the Good news with others and he has given us a ministry of reconciliation.
