Jesus walks on Water

On 21st August Dr Gareth Crossley from Asbourne Baptist Church spoke on John 6 v 15 -21
Therefore when Jesus perceived that they were about to come and take Him by force to make Him king, He departed again to the mountain by Himself alone. Now when evening came, His disciples went down to the sea, got into the boat, and went over the sea toward Capernaum. And it was already dark, and Jesus had not come to them. Then the sea arose because a great wind was blowing. So when they had rowed about three or four miles, they saw Jesus walking on the sea and drawing near the boat; and they were afraid. But He said to them, “It is I; do not be afraid.”
Then they willingly received Him into the boat, and immediately the boat was at the land where they were going.

This miraculous sign of Jesus walking on water demonstrates that he is the Christ the Son of the living God.
(John 20 v 30-31  "And truly Jesus did many other signs in the presence of His disciples, which are not written in this book; but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name."
Gareth spoke on Jesus his power and presence as the son of God.  He pointed us to Psalm 107 v 25
"For He commands and raises the stormy wind,
Which lifts up the waves of the sea."
That it is God who stirs up the storm and that Jesus is present with us in the midst of the storm.
